Its timetable is by the arrival time of Paris trains so that you don’t have to wait long. For example, for the train arriving in Rennes at 9:14 a.m., the bus leaves Rennes station at 9:40 am.

We faced the same dilemma some years ago, and chose to stay just off the mont in Hotel Gabriel right by the free shuttle stop instead of one of the hotels directly on the mont (generally overpriced with mediocre reviews, and lots of steps if youre carrying luggage).
